First tip, its not hard to make these delicious smoothie bowls of goodness. The most important thing is good wholesome ingredients, no artificial syrups or flavours, whole foods and nothing but whole foods please!

Right here right now we’re going to give you a recipe for a smoothie bowl you can make anytime with a minimum of ingredients for a maximum of satisfaction.


1 x frozen banana

1 x 120 ml natural coconut water

1 x heaped teaspoon Mayella® Green Nutritional Blend of choice

1/2 cup favourite granola or toasted muesli ( One of our all time favourites is Brookfarm )

1 x Blender eg Vitamix, Breville or Ninja are reliable and powerful motors.

In order of listed ingredients, place banana, coconut water and Mayella® Green Nutritional blend into the blender and blend away. NB remember to place the lid on blender before starting!

Once your basic ingredients are well blended but not over blended, pour into your bowl and garnish with granola or muesli.To make more, simply increase your ingredients. Its that easy and once you have made a smoothie bowl, the hardest thing is to not be addicted. Check our options for getting creative with your smoothie bowl once you have your confidence.   • You can always add ice if you want to make your smoothie bowl more icy or slushie style which is super refreshing on a hot day or after a big training session.
  • Other fruits to include with or instead of banana, are mango, pineapple, frozen berries.
  •  Instead of coconut water, you can choose to have a milk base eg almond, soy, rice, coconut milk, cow, oat.
  • Extra toppings could be Mayella® Acai Berry Beautiful shredded or desiccated coconut, chia seeds, cacao nibs or powder, sliced banana, fresh berries, passionfruit, peanut butter.
