A Change of Season
As Mother Nature flows into a new season, so do we. We begin with a change in our daily routine and habits. Important to support our immune system as our body adjusts to the change in temperature – often a cold or flu circulates through work or school, or simply fatigue.
Key ways to support your health and immune system are;
- Rest – getting enough sleep through the night is one of the best things you can do for wellness. Going to bed early enough to let your body unwind, rejuvenate, eliminate – all the things it does as we lay sleeping. Give your self this time to heal and replenish. Allow a little afternoon chill time on the weekend, a sure way to make the weekend feel longer and to let your adrenals have a much needed rest!
Blood chi with our nutritional power blends and wheatgrass capsules to support your acid alkaline rhythms, a base line for your good health. Keeping your blood oxygenated and fuelled with easily assimilated and highly concentrated nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, and with key factors such as Chlorophyll importantly contributing to blood cell integrity. Now your body has all the right ingredients to adapt and flow with Mother Nature.
- Hydrate, hydrate hydrate – yes its a hot word but to hydrate means to keep your body functions vital on all levels. Clear thinking, performing, eliminating/detoxing. Drinking 1-2 litres a day minimum and if you’ve been reading our earlier posts, spice up your water with a little fresh mint & lemon to keep your self interested!
- Skin – exfoliate a little more as your skin adjusts to cooler temperatures. Keeping your skin smooth and breathing free of congestion helps to avoid break out and dull skin. Our AHA Exfoliating Serum & Lotion are perfect to use as little or as much as your skin requires without overstimulation or irritation. Both will encourage improved moisture levels and stimulate collagen production for healthy immune resilience.
- Keep your body moving – with changing daylight hours moving from season to season, especially into Spring it makes it easier to jump out of bed and go for a walk or hit the yoga mat. We can be a bit rusty after a long, cold winter so make sure you STRETCH before and after any exercise to avoid injury. Maybe a visit to your local physiotherapist/ naturopath/ massage therapist for an assessment and treatment to get things kickstarted on a practitioner level. Self awareness and regular connection with trusted professional practitioners go a long way to ensuring lifetime health and fitness.
